Dear LORD, we thank You that we can come to you as a body of believers. We thank You that we can call You Father and that You hear our prayers. Help us LORD to come to a better understanding and a deeper appreciation of the price You paid to make this possible.
We thank You that Your death on the cross has cleared our debt and allowed us to be reconciled to You. We thank You that although physically separated we are united as Your children. Help us to behave in such a way that reflects our spiritual identity, and that those around us might see something of Your character, that You might be glorified.
LORD we thank You that You not only died but that You rose from the grave. You’ve shown us that You are who You claim to be, You have victory over death. We thank You that as the “firstfruits” of the resurrection we can have confidence that You will raise us with resurrected bodies to live in Your presence forever. We pray that this will be an encouragement to all of us, especially to those amongst us today who are suffering. We thank You that our relationship with You has been reconciled, we look forward to restored bodies, in a restored creation, where there will be no more tears and no more curse.
LORD, it is so easy to forget these truths and to be overwhelmed by the troubles of this world. Forgive us for when we forget that You are our father, that You care for us and that nothing is out of your control. We ask that You help us to suffer well, that we’ll be good ambassadors for You in the way that we deal with life’s difficulties. LORD, give us a sensitivity and an awareness for the needs of those around us. Give us the opportunity to show a Christlike love to both for their physical and spiritual needs.
Please help us this morning as we listen to Your word being taught. We thank You for the freedom we have in Australia to have Your word preached so openly. Help us to have open ears and open hearts. May we not come to Your word with preconceived ideas, but may we allow You to speak into our lives.
We thank You for our pastors and their families. We thank You for all who serve so faithfully in our church family. We thank You for the money that is given and pray for guidance in the way it is used.
Again LORD, we thank You that You hear our prayers. We pray that our meeting this morning may be edifying to us and glorifying to You.
Amen.

O’ God the Father, you who created of Heaven and Earth by Your Word
O’ God the Son, you who redeemed of the world through Your Blood
God the Holy Spirit, the one who strengthens Your people through Your word
O Holy God Please have mercy on us as your people
Dear gracious and loving Father. We come amazed at your created world. How you spoke and who by your word caused all creation to come into being. The world both seen and unseen reflects the wonder of who you are. As we see the plans for life we see your power and majesty.
Our Lord Jesus, we come in wonder at who you are. We see the beauty of your life, your death and your resurrection. We see the darkness of our sin against the love that you have, demonstrated for us, in dying on the cross for our sin and our rebellion
We thank you that you have risen again from the dead so that we might have life. Please Lord have mercy on us as our hearts bend away from you. Please lead us into places of rest knowing that your love meets us in our darkest places and that your forgiveness covers all of our sin your life and that your life brings new life to bear in our life
Holy Spirit please speak your word today, enliven our hearts and minds so that we might hear you. Please draw us deeper in love for the Lord Jesus we pray. That we might walk close with God as our Heavenly Father.
That you would convict us of sin in our lives and that you would help us to be quick to confess our sin so we might be clean again. Please Lord do your work in us.
We know that Jesus said that no greater love is this: that a man lay down his life for his friends. We thank you for those who have served our nation well in times of war and of peace, those who have sacrificed their lives for us. Thank you today for those who lived and those who have died. Thank you that what they have done points to what we have in Jesus’ provision today.
Father, we pray for those who we know who are bearing the pain of life’s uncertainty. For employment problems, for health problems, for problems in family and marriages. Lord, we know that you are the one who is our security, that you are the one who is hope, that you are the one who is our joy. Please lead us to a place where we can rest with you. That we can enjoy you and delight in you and we might bring glory to your name; because you meet with us and we meet with you.
So please be with us today we pray in Jesus great name, Amen.

Heavenly Father,
We praise you today for who you are.  You are holy. You are pure. You are glorious.  In you, there is no fault or blemish. You created our world and you sustain our world and every good thing we have is from you.
Father, we confess today that we are not holy, as you are.  We have fallen short of your glory and we regularly rebel against your word.  We’ve been proud and selfish and impatient. We’ve been unkind and uncaring. We’ve failed to trust you in so many different places and we’re prone to set our hope on created things for what only you can give.  Please forgive us.
We thank you that you have not left us dead in our sin and you don’t treat us as our sins deserve.  We thank you for giving us your Son. Thank you that Christ died in our place as a substitute. Thank you that He bore all of your wrath and anger at our rebellion so that we might no longer be your enemies but your children.  Forgive us for how often we think too much of ourselves and too little of Christ. Forgive us for thinking that the cross is a small or unimportant thing and remind us of how amazing it is that Christ died and rose from the dead for us.
Lord, we long to be a people who are holy as you are holy.  We long for the sin that we struggle with regularly to be gone from our lives.  Today we ask that would continue to make us more like Jesus. We ask you to change us.  We ask you to not simply modify our behaviour but to change our hearts. Please change our desires so that we want to grow and pray and spend time with you in your word.  Please give us the desire to put sin to death in our lives. Give us a greater desire for you and for holiness.
Father, we pray for our community and our world.  We pray for those who are fearful, that they would turn to you.  We pray that we would be salt and light in the world and speak the hope of the gospel.  We pray for those who are lonely, that we would reach out to them and that they would reach out to us.  Protect us from being too proud to ask for help when we need it.
Lord, we thank you for your word.  We pray that we would understand and respond rightly to you today.  Help us to clearly see your will for our lives. Help us to respond with obedience and faith.  Help us to continue to cling to your grace, that we might be the holy people you call us to be.
We pray all these things, in the name of the holy one, Jesus.
Amen.
